Xbox Controller Input Mapping Issue

For some reason, the Xbox controller that I've been using via Bluetooth for all my steam games and has had zero problem until now has started tweaking out with Madden 25. My Start button is mapped to A, My Back Button is mapped to B, and my bumpers are mapped to X and Y. The actual buttons are mapped to start, back, and the bumpers respectively. However, when I check my controller layout in steam, everything looks normal. Anyone have a solution?

Mine are A and B and always have been for Madden. A is enter and B is back. I don't think steam mapping has anything to do with it. It just basically starts the app that starts the game.

its an EA thing not a steam thing. don't contact their support as it is non existent. id request a refund

I'm having the same issue... in addition to I tried connecting another Xbox controller and now when I'm just trying to do a scrimmage and select a team as CPU it wont let me and somehow assigns the second xbox controller no matter what I do. ie moves both controllers simultaneously when I'm in the choose controllers teams screen. Even if it's off and not connected. I cant even navigate this game to play the darn thing because the control scheme is so wonkers

Play the game on ea app, i have zero issue with controllers there, however i have had mutiple crashes. Also sometimes when playing on controller you get the keyboard popup while in game, kinda trash
