Not trying to be a d***
And it's all good. I know you're just trying to help. I'm definitely not an expert on all things Football but I feel that I know enough to be able to complete more than 35% of my passes. If Brett Favre didn't know what a nickel defense was and won a superbowl and became a hall of famer, I should be able to play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ madden just fine.
I've had to look up a lot of videos on how to properly read a defense, what to check to, how to use motion to your advantage. The days of just brute forcing the passing game is over. I'm currently 1-3 in my Rams franchise on All-Pro and I just had the best passing game I've had in new gen Madden. Hit for 360 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INT, but still lost the game 37-27 to the Bears.
I was using everything I've studied to my advantage, trying my best to identify the coverage pre-snap and make the necessary changes. It's hard, but it's possible. I am determined to figure this game out, but it is very very very easy to get sloppy and throw 5 picks in a half, I know, I've done it and raged quit.
Also, players play much wider zones in '25. It used to be pretty easy to throw in between zones but the DBs in '25 play in between zones much better. You have to make sure your route concept matches the defense. i.e. if the defense is playing a lot of zone, you need flood zone concepts. If the defense is playing a lot of man, crossing routes.
If you are having troubles, you can always set the passing mode to "Classic".
If you're simming, you're pretty much out of luck. My brother and I have been testing everything we can think of to get sim to be realistic, but it always seems like madden is working against us. As far as playing, I don't dive too deep into stuff and went damn near undefeated with the broncos. If your sliders are default, the game is way too easy. If you've changed them to decrease QB accuracy, then that's your problem. Without seeing you play, I don't think there's really anything anyone can tell you except we aren't having the same problems (at least not to that extent). On default pro, you can bump the controller while sneezing and still complete a pass, assuming your linemen block long enough for you to do anything.
