Is there any way to stop the pass?

Ive been playing madden and ncaa for 10 years and ive never felt this helpless on defense. Something has gotta be broken here. The AI never runs and if they do it just gets stuffed cause inside running is garbage in this game. Every QB is putting up like 400 yards and every game ends up being 45-52 or some ♥♥♥♥. It all comes down to if the AI decides to throw a pick or not. This is not football its a track meet.

defence is a joke im with you, i go man to man still lose yards and even a td, i go blitz and i get 3rd down and 15, and still lose yards and maybe a td.....
im not great or good at the game but yep franchise on anything then rookie is just about ai being bad or super good

I turned the CPU sliders all the way down for QB's to zero, pass blocking to Zero WR catching to zero and Jordan love torched me for 890 yards and 8 TD's.. When I play defense I give up no less then 600 passing yards per game..

I can't even figure out what the secret to pass defense is,, no matter what plays I pick the CPU torches me.. Man to Man, Cover 1, blitzing, having all but 2 players back in pass defense. nothing works.. I also think the sliders are broken, because having them at like 20 the teams got 600, turned to Zero and Love just went HAM...

I heard that the sliders are backwards, because EA. But im not sure that even sliders can fix this game. Also ive noticed that qb ratings dont matter for either the ai or the player. in my franchise the chiefs rookie backup who was 63 overall threw for over 400 and a perfect game on my defense with 2 90+ overall x factor corners (and this was without Kelce too). similarly when my qb went down i had to use stetson Bennett in the playoffs, who is like 64 overall, and he never threw a pick and hardly an incompletion through 3 games. he played much better than my 90 overall starter usually does.

In man coverage corners will randomly stop on their routes when theyre in great position, zone coverage alot of plays are broken and even the ones that work, the AI will make the right read insanely quick even when theres alot of traffic.

Im playing dime defense most of the time because there is absolutely no threat from the running game. with 2 safeties back. You will still stuff any inside run even against heavy personnel but cant stop the pass.

after the update my DBs do seem to be doing much better in man coverage than before, actually getting alot of pass breakups.

Really frustrating at the moment as so many times I can go into the fourth quarter having done pretty well against many teams, only for them to snatch a magic 70 yard pass, or catch and run through three tackles exactly when they need it. And that's not even thinking about the extendable-arm picks they pull off just because I managed a 2 pts after touchdown to put space between us on the previous drive.

I'm only on all-pro, so do accept this is most likely a skills issue, but I am starting to wonder if the CPU is salty when I'm doing well.

ive been playing on all pro too and it really is still OP. since the update ive gone from giving up about 400 yards per game to 300. They said in the patch notes they are still working on it. In the meantime you kinda need multiple superstar corners. with safety help over top. The AI is very unlikely to run the ball when they are down even one point.

in past maddens when i had an elite corner i could count on him to shut down his man by himself, and i could focus on helping the other corners. thats not the case right now

im also have some success using 3 or 4 fast pass coverage linebackers and playing zone, in this case you dont need the elite corners as much just some guys who are fast and can play zone

Honestly i been having lights out defense this year, but have refunded the game as it seems to be the same copy and paste game every year and only thing which seems new is the higher refresh rate.
