i think you mean mirroring, and as far as i can tell will just map controller buttons to keys, which doesn't help if you are trying to play local coop. So Bunk still stands on "Full Controller Support"

well technically, full controller support does mean that you can navigate through the whole game without the need of a keyboard or any other input device, partial controller support means usually that the menu (or some skill tree during the game process) requires keyboard input..

maybe it's possible to trick the game by emulating XBox 360 controller with Xinput Test?

Well technically you're right. "Full controller support" means the game is fully playable with a controller natively, not that it's playable with EVERY controller possible. It would be ridiculous to even expect that.

what i expect is some warning on the store page before i buy a game. may have to buy over priced controller to play coop.

bought 2 wireless XBox 360 controllers from eBay (you can't tell at all it's a copy), 25€ each free shipping
internet has some pretty good deals

I'd suggest buying some wireless 360 controllers & the adapter. They've always had the best support in games. Full controller support merely means that you can access the game, configure it, and play it with a controller (typically, a 360 controller). This does not mean it has universal controller support.

i'm sorry but a 20 CAD logitech or mad cats. both with have the same button configuration as xbox360 controllers that are 50 CAD each... ♥♥♥♥ any game that doesn't allow button mapping.

wow nuts to all that, this game goes in the "garbage" category of my steam library and will not be played. what a waste of money. this controller nonsense aside this game apparently by other discussions only has about 5 hours of gameplay... so whatever. f**k it

but did you try doing the developer's job for them and fixing their config files, mapping your controller, figuring out how they mapped their controller, mirroring the two. I'm sorry i've spent more time fixing this game than I would have playing this game. to anybody thinking about buying this game expecting to play it local coop with your friends that doesn't own xbox controllers to start off don't do it.

i guess leason learned for me, if you want full controller support you have to choose a game that says partial controller support so that you can assign buttons in game with aid from your mouse.
