how to enter local coop?

So both me and my wife bought this game. Then we realized it only has local coop. So I go looking for my gamepad and the wife brings on the TV. We supposed she could sit in front of the TV with a gamepad and I stay at the keyboard. Anyways, I can't seem to figure out how to switch the game into coop or start a coop game or whatever. A manual for the PC version doesn't seem to exist and the official support pages weren't very helpful either. So how do I activate local coop (and configure controls for the second player and such stuff)?

well, i haven't tried the coop yet.. but when you approach checkpoints (some sort of statue that glows orange when game saves) there is a text that pops up in the right bottom of the screen telling a player can join

Me and my girl tried to play it in Coop mode too. I haven't found no "Coop" option anywhere. And we haven't seen that text when you save the game... =P
I wasn't able even to config the controls or choose if I wanted the Keyboard or the gamepad...

Will be a patch to correct it (cuz it seems like the coop is only a promise not fulfilled yet, i hope) or there is a way to activate the coop????

well, it seems to be a console port so i'm afraid it's gonna work only with gamepads

I can not get my gamepads to be recognised! No options or config for it :(

Did you configure the game? In my menu, I can't choose my gamepads. I tried with both of them (gamepad + keyboard) and with only one, to see if something would happen... but still... no coop choice for me here yet

nope, didn't configured any input devices.. I'm playing with an Xbox 360 gamepad and have two of them (the second one was not on when i did this screenshot) so maybe when you play it on a keyboard the logic would be that you can't plug two keyboards at the same time and no Join text apears

you have to try it with two Xbox 360 gamepads (there is a small bug, when you power on the second gamepad during the game and try to hit START, nothing happens.. press START on the first gamepad and just leave the menu.. it will be working)

Is it not possible to play 2 players one with mouse and keyboard, and the second player with xbox controller? I'm trying but the controller is the only one working...

I've tested here, looks like only xbox controller does the job. The Playstation-usb-controler doesn't seem to be recognized by the game.

So, since I don't have an xbox controller I guess it's double disappointment time for me. :(

maybe it's possible to trick the game by emulating XBox 360 controller with Xinput Test or something similar?

there are different programs to emulate a xbox controller with a ps3 controller, but you might encounter problems...

yeah, to simply get a PS3 controller working on a PC is alredy a workaround on its own.. well there are a bunch of other controllers on the market that might work just fine after a remap

I have not see any pop up near the checkpoint. I configured xbox360ce and input it in dame dir.
