I can tell you never played Motogp 07, go and do that. You can probably find it online to download these days. Then come back and ask again what content can be added.
There was also like a skilltree, you got points for winning races and doing challenges and those points you put into cornering, acceleration, top speed and braking. It was a fun way to progress and become better. You really felt how bad your bike was but at the end it was fully pimped to your playstyle because you could never get max on everything so you had to sacrifice something but it was really fun and I miss that. The challenges paid 3 points for gold medal, 2 for silver and 1 for bronze. Then first place paid similar in races I think. I also remember some of the challenges being that you head to head raced some biker and he was fast and you had to keep up and beat him. I just remember I had so much fun in that game and the newer motogp while they are fun there is just the simulation aspect there, when it comes to being a game with fun things to do they fail miserably.
If Ai changes with the actual individual person driving that would be a huge improvement. I know that’s the benefit of Ai and reinforcement learning but it hasn’t been done at all well in games that should have it like fighting games. I hope they upgrade this game and make the graphics evolve along with the physics and differentiate it from the console versions.
Do they have a history of offering pc exclusive settings and features or just straight port from the console?
Other than bike manufacturer and tuning differences. The thought of a game like this being like an RPG where you invest into numbers to become a better racer rather than through self improvement in learning proper braking and lines while handling the chosen input method makes me throw up a little.
If you ever wanted to make it fun outside of being a professional track sport. You'd need to do a Road Rash treatment on it. Make a highway level, with traffic.... Guns, Cops. AI NPC drivers with their own road rage bias against Lane Splitting bikers. Brake Checkers.
