AI insane qualifying times
Just got through my first Moto3 season at 110% AI which was competitive for a lot of the season with close qualifying times and good racing and i became champion fairly comfortably.

I now moved to Moto2 and did the first race at Qatar. In Free practice and qualifying sessions the AI were insanely quick.

Now: As long as you are on track the AI's speed seems correct as i was matching their times closely.
As soon as i fast forwarded they suddenly did times 2-3 seconds faster than before. I was 1.1 seconds off P29 in qually as a result.

In the race the AI returned to normal. with my fastest lap only being about 0.5s slower than the FL whilst finishing 8th.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? (i will try to report further as i get through the season)

I have the same problem! The first three GP in career mode were okay so far. In qualifying (Q), the AI was usually stronger than in the race. In the fourth GP in Qatar, the AI pulled over 5 seconds ahead of me. Seems like there are issues with the balance of the adaptive AI…

same problem

I suspect when player not being on the track, AI times are "generated", so try to stay on track all qualifying time. It is known issue for years.

I would but i don't really have 1.5 hours of time to sit around and do nothing just to get started with a race.

Not really an "issue" - I imagine it's simply because Moto3 is meant to be more forgiving.

Or edit game files, it is possible to edit AIskills files replacing those "generated times" is multipliers, which will make "generated" lap times a few seconds slower (making them uncompetitive so only "live" times will be crucial).

If they only could do a changeable Menu for Training and Qually Times, like race length, we could change it to 15 Min., and we dont have to stay 40 Min on Training track. But it is still very poor from Milestone to give this to us people!

Exactly! I have seen the same issues

With yesterday's patch FP and Qualy AI laptimes seem to be fixed. I have been able to increase the difficulty to the same % I was playing before. I still want to play a few races more to be 100% sure because AI laptimes was not in the updates list of the patch but I notice a change with that

I am not sure anything is fixed. I still have this issue. On race day I am 4 seconds faster, on Q1 and Q2 I am 3 seconds slower than last guy if I am skipping time/session. If I am on track I am in pole. No adaptive AI 69% difficulty. On MotoGP20 and 19 I was at 80% feeling quite competitive AI. I believe implementation is broken and I probably won't play until they fix it.

I am only having problems with AI qualy times in Qatar. I play no adaptative and 105%
