Training mode...Eh?

I've never had a bike racing game. I have always done car racing but I thought why not so bought this game for a change.

The training mode tells you if you passed or failed but doesn't tell you why.
The first test I passed straight away. The flag to flag test I failed once but it was easy to work out so I passed second time round

The Long Lap Penalty test...What the heck. I do not know how to pass this and I've failed several times and with no explanation on why I failed I will never know why. So, the test shows a mistake I made (or rather the computer makes) and I get a long lap penalty. I've noticed a 50kmh limit at some point. Does this begin at the start of the of the orange race line? After the autopilot when can I speed up again? Or am I doing this all wrong?

I need to know about this because in my first career race I came 3rd but was knocked down to 5th because I did not bother with the LLP that was dealt to me (what was the point if I don't understand it anyway). If I understood it I could attempt to rectify it and not be given the 3 second penalty. Another point to this game (and all racing games) is to beat your rival. He came 4th.

Very slow entry speed required into LLP lane entrance ( 20kph or less / crawling speed + dead centre of lane ) .

Finding it a pain in the ass myself, usually take the 3 second hit / penalty if performing well in a race rather than risk messing up that LLP ( more likely to screw up the LLP penalty when under serious pressure in a race ) .

If that is the case which I believe it would be it seems a pointless exercise trying to rectify the LLP. If you have to enter at crawl pace by the time you finish the LLP you would be at least in the last half of the positions so probably better to take the 3 second penalty.

I watched a video on LLP while waiting for an answer on this discussion from real motogp footage and it stated that LLP came about was because beforehand the penalty was to move a position behind and they thought that was sometimes unfair if the position behind you was several seconds. Surely losing 1 position in the old rules is better than losing several with LLP

You can't touch the lines during the LLP, its' really hard! I think the speed limit is only if you have the "assisted LLP" on. That said, I'm not sure you'd actually be able to pull off a LLP if going any faster!

I found it much easier while doing it in a race during career mode. I attempted it without much speed decrease but took my time during riding on the extended loop. I must of done it correctly because there was no penalty after the race
