File error

Hey, am I the only one who cannot play since the last update, game crashed everytime.... and yes only motogp?

I'm just having this error occur now (doesn't load, saying the .exe file is missing). It started up fine and then crashed, now it won't even load up to the EAC screen. Will see if I can find a solution and then post here.

Just did an integrity check and sure enough, 1 file was missing/corrupt. Re-acquired the file, now it started running the first movie screen and then crashed again. Went to restart and again it comes up with an error saying the .exe file is again missing. Tried to resolve it, then Steam came up with a disk write error. Restarted PC, got the .exe file back. Restarted GP24, again loaded EAC screen, started playing first movie and then crashed again. I had the Win64 file open to see what would happen to the .exe file and like I thought would happen, it got deleted.
Will try uninstalling/re-installing and see if that makes a difference.

Nope, no change.
.exe file is there, go to start game, EAC window comes up and loads, first movie plays for a few seconds before crashing, .exe file gets removed.
I was playing a few days ago, now I updated Geforce Experience, and issue is occuring (whether that is relevant or not, not sure)

If the file is being removed, perhaps it is your anti virus? What AV are you using?

I'm using Avast, but up until this issue started for me, I had no problems.
The only "change" I've had for myself is updating my graphics driver. Other than that, it was working fine.
If I can roll back my gfx update, I'll see if that is the cause or not.

Well....
Turns out it was the anti-virus getting up to no good.
Turned it off for 10 minutes, game fully loaded with no issues, then mid-game (10 minutes or so later) I get a notification for the .exe file that was getting deleted was getting flagged for containing something. Added it to the exception list.
Makes me wonder why it never popped up in the first place to tell me that there was an issue.

Having the same problems as you guys on the game. Havent played for a couple of weeks .....fired it up today & it keeps on crashing until i suspend my Anti-virus off. I have added it to the exception list , but still crashes (unless i turn the anti-virus off. I have Norton security .
Have you been able to solve the problem,if you have then please let me know!

For anyone running a newer operating system suh as Windows 10 or 11, I'd really recommend uninstalling AV and just using the built in Windows Defender

For a long time now, Windows Defender has been very good and plenty of protection. Av such as Norton, Avast, AVG are all massively bloated, and impact performance of your PC.

Not sure if related, but after UE3 Fatal Error this worked for me:

-windows update
-download and install latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable
-download and install latest DirectX End-User Runtimes
-add motogp24.exe to the exception list of windows defender or your av
-create shortcut of motogp24.exe
-properties of shortcut, go to shortcut and add this to the end of target: -dx11

launch mgp24 noramlly through steam

i got the same problem, but it says to me that 2 files failed to validate and will be reacquired. the game when i start it is really slow loading the screens, and it crashes after. i don't know what to do in order to solve that problem. i don't even know what files failed to validate
