If there is an error message in the PlayStation VR2 app or the VR driver, it may be useful to share the error message displayed in SteamVR or Windows in this thread. You may be able to see Windows crashes by viewing Windows Event Viewer and expanding the Application section and System section after the application crashed, following a restart of the computer.
You could try upgrading to the newest software but use display driver uninstaller first and then install the new driver software, selecting the custom installation with all items ticked for installation.
I have the older 5800X3D and 7900xtx combo. I'm running the PSVR through Sony's pc adapter. My video card lacks a direct usb output. I second a clean install attempt after using a display uninstaller. I simply use the AMD cleanup utility.
If that fails do as tauheedul suggest and raise a ticket with AMD.
