Room scan impossible
During the "first step" phase, when scanning my room, the helmet's external cameras do not work (screen remains black)

same with me
Same problem here, but since 90% of the time my controllers do not appear on the screen, I don't usually get to this stage.

Try changing where you plug in the usb cable to. Fixed it for me and many others.

I had the same issue. I had to use an external USB3 hub connected to my Asus motherboard's rear USB port for the camera pass through to work.

Does your motherboard only have 3.2 USB Gen 1 or 2 ports? That's what my MSI MB has - no USB 3.0 ports.
Your solution may be the one for me, if so.

Not sure to be honest. It's a Ausus B550. I tried all my MB ports, PS adaptor kept saying use a USB 3 port. Found one that it liked but then I had the camera issue, it was just by chance that I had a USB hub lying around not in use. Think i paid about £10 for it off amazon a couple of years back.#

Try connecting psvr2 to diffrent usb ports worked for me

Tried that. No dice.
I have mine previously working all fine, but today suddenly the play area settings are gone and when I tried to scan it I got this screen remains black issue.

I didn't move my usb port for the adapter.
Will try and update

Connect it to a different USB port at the back of the motherboard. If the USB 3.0 (blue) ports aren't working, try the USB 3.2 Gen 2 / USB 4 port if there are any.
Thanks, it works now.
Weird that I need to move it to slower usb 3 port now.
Been using usb 3.2 port previously.

It's good that there's no performance degradation.
