PlayStation®VR2 App

PlayStation®VR2 App

Controllers won't pair the next time I use PSV2 on PC - attempting new setup.
So tonight I wanted to play some more VR and the PSVR2 Sense Controllers showing in Windows 11 Bluetooth as not connected after I enabled BT.
So if I just press the PS button on each controller they power up then I get the blinking white light, then solid white, then I get the Add a device pop-up in the Windows notification panel
I click it then I get a pop up to Pair device and I click Allow

Then it seems like it's paired, but it's not Showing up in Windows 11 Bluetooth and Devices, but the 2 previous L & R VR2 Sense controllers are showing "Not Connected"
status still.

So why when I hit the PS button to power on the controllers, it didn't connect back to the previous controller install? It wants me to pair again as if new?
If I try to remove the previous installs from the session I get a generic Remove failed error.

I'm using External TP Link BT USB dongle.

It does that when you have paired it to onboard Bluetooth but have not unpaired the PSVR2 controllers from the previous device before using the new USB Bluetooth adapter.

- Temporarily disconnect the USB Bluetooth adapter.
- Then enable the old Bluetooth device in Device Manager.
- View Windows Bluetooth Settings and unpair any Bluetooth devices.
- View Device Manager again and disable the onboard Bluetooth device.
- Then connect the USB Bluetooth adapter into a USB 2.0 port by a short extension cable.
- Uninstall the previous TP Link Bluetooth software.
- Install the Beta version of the TP Link Bluetooth software for the PSVR2...

- View Windows Bluetooth Settings and pair the PSVR2 controllers again.

Oh I forgot to mention I was using the BT dongle the last time I had successfully used the PSVR 2 with controllers and unplugged it when not in use and didn't re-enable the onboard BT, so those controllers were not paired to the onbored mobo's BT at all.
You can try the following...

- View Windows safe mode
- Open Device Manager
- Click View on the toolbar
- Click show hidden devices
- Then expand the Bluetooth section
- Right click the PlayStation VR2 controllers
- Click Uninstall Device
- Click the Scan for hardware changes icon (if it is displayed again, repeat the Uninstall Device step).
- Restart the computer into standard Windows mode
- Pair the PSVR2 controllers again

If there are any additional Bluetooth peripherals paired like gamepads or headphones, these should be unpaired and only the PSVR2 controllers in use.

Yeah I tried that, it didn't work.. Made sure the PS5 was turned off as well so it wouldn't try to pair with that accidentally and even removed both controllers from PS5 accessories settings.
Uninstall the current version of the Bluetooth software you have installed. Then install the beta version, and then after restarting try unpairing it again.

If this isn't working, you may have to use regedit and delete the paired device that way. There may be examples you can Google that demonstrate that.
OK I was able to resolve it this time by going to the Device Manager View hidden devices and delete the duplicate / greyed out PSVR controllers as well as the duplicate greyed out Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator.

Then I was able to add both controllers back in no problem.

Hopefully this will not be needed every time when switching between PS5 and PC.
I just would like to give some of my own feedback here. I was able to slove this problem by enabling the Bluetooth Support Service in Windows 10. For some reason it was disabled. You just have to go in Services and right click on the Bluetooth Support Service > properties > Startup type set this to Manual then click Apply, after this right click on the Bluetooth Support Service again and click start. Hope this helps.

Thank you @Gruntled Employee - I have spent all evening trying to unpair my sense controllers and finally did so by uninstalling the enumerator connections. Much appreciated.
