Unfortunately, you can't go from HDMI (PC video output) -> Display port (PS2VR INPUT).

These cables only work when you're out putting from a display (ie PC graphics card) to HDMI input (i.e monitor). DP- >HDMI cables are not bi-directional.

Google it for more details

If you have a desktop PC with a single display port which is currently in use by the computer display, use the HDMI to display port to connect to the display and use the standard display port for VR.

If you have a laptop which only has a HDMI port. These are incompatible.

You can check if the Type-C port supports display port 1.4 and is connected to dedicated graphics using a mux feature. First check the manufacturer documentation before buying any cables etc.

If the Type-C display port / Thunderbolt port is connected to a dedicated graphics card and it includes a mux feature, you can try using a Type-C Display Port 1.4 cable to the PSVR2 adapter. This isn't a supported configuration and is not guaranteed to work since most laptops are using integrated graphics.

The Acer guide demonstrates how to enable the dedicated graphics card if it has a mux feature.

You can also check the Nvidia Control Panel and view the Conifgure sound and PhysX section and set the dedicated graphics card as the current device.

It should display an image of the type-c or thunderbolt port underneath the image of the dedicated graphics card. If it is displayed under the integrated graphics, it means that the laptop is incompatible with a PSVR2.

If it has a Thunderbolt port, you can use an external graphics card instead, or try a Meta Quest which doesn't use display port video for VR.
Check out some power settings on your PC. I have the same issue, tried 3 cables - was not the problem. I had MSI Center running my pc on silent mode - set that guy to extreme performance - bingoo. And anything the the windows power setting of course.
its a windows 11 acers nitro 5 gaming laptop it wont work any way
