Sony recommends a 5.0 bluetooth adapter. Wouldn't a 5.1 or more be better?
I've been looking to get a new bluetooth adapter, mine is using 5.0 and its a bit iffy with tracking, sony recommends a TP-Link UB500, a 5.0 adapter. Wouldn't be better if i use a 5.1 or 5.3 adapter? just kinda confused and im looking for suggestions.

It doesn't matter 5.1 or 5.0 sony requires probably 4.0

The quality of the connection is important, not its speed. And the ability to maintain two connections at once in good quality.

Choose one of the proven devices.

Sony half assed PC VR support I have both BT adapters sony recommended on their web page and they don't work my Built in bluetooth adapter works the best but its still crap. I ended up using my Index controllers they work the best using Hyblocker OpenVR SpaceCalibrator and a Vive tracker mounted on top of the PS VR2 I'm able to keep my Index controllers calibrated (Hyblocker version has continuous calibration)

All pc vr kits have bluetooth in the glasses. The ps vr2 set is designed to be connected to a ps console that has a good quality bluetooth radio in it.

People in PCs have poor quality bluetooth, or they don't have it at all.

Everyone buys usb for $15, instead of pci-e for $50.

A USB for $15 can also work well if you don't have a huge amount of interference in the 2.4 GHz radio band.

But many people have a huge amount of interference. Wireless: keyboards, mice, headphones, speakers, routers, mesh routers, refrigerators, microvals, poor quality LED bulbs, computer lighting. In addition, very efficient jammers in the form of a monitor and a computer box.

A big problem is the huge reluctance to read manuals and troubleshooting guides.

But in your case, if you have full 360 vive tracking, there's no point in going back to simplified slam tracking.

Have fun, oled + good quality tracking is the best you can have in a vr pc. :p2chell:

The PS5 has Bluetooth 5.0, that means the PSVR2 controllers were designed to utilise only what was available up to that specification. Using it with a newer revision would add no feature benefit since they are not utilised. The only value comes from the revised newer software and fixes in the driver implementation. In theory those would be more stable. In practice that isn't always the case, for example I bought a ugreen Bluetooth 5.4 dongle expecting it would be better than the 5.0 version, but I couldn't get it to work with SteamVR. It just doesn't show any inputs. But I've seen posts on these community pages that the ugreen Bluetooth 5.0 adapter is working. I'm not sure what software difference is between them. The UB500 is certainly only compatible with the Beta driver.
