display port bypass?
Hello, I have 3 laptops which can be qualified as "gaming", a rog flow z13 2023, a zenbook pro duo and another zenbook with a 1050ti, the rog has a 4050, the pro duo has a 2060, which are sufficient to run the psvr2, I bought the adapter today, with an hdmi 1.4 and a DP>HDMI adapter, but I'm stuck on "please connect the DP cable" screen while setting up the app, laptops being laptops, I only have HDMI ports on them.
(for the people who will tell me to buy a proper gaming pc, i have absolutely no use of a big fat tower, I move a lot, etc).
Therefore do you guys know a way to bypass the required DP cable?
It's absolute nonsense to me.

I saw a video on YT where he connected a Display cable adapter to the usb c port and it seem to work. Ihave also just a laptop with display cable option throug the usb c connection. So i hope it will work for me. I hope some in here have testet it and can confirm it works. I will first have my psvr to pc adapter the 23 august.

"I bought the adapter today, with an hdmi 1.4 and a DP>HDMI adapter"
If you really meant HDMI 1.4 and not DP 1.4, then return both. HDMI 1.4 would be too weak for PSVR2 even if the conversion was possible.

Buy a DP -> USB-C adapter instead.

That ROG FLOW tech specs say it has a USB-C with DP. Probably other have it as well.

A requirement is a proper DP1.4 connection.
Converting HDMI to DP is not the same.
If you have USB-C ports on laptops make sure that they support DP1.4.
