Brazilian Portuguese Localization Request
Dear Developers,

I am writing to request the inclusion of Brazilian Portuguese subtitles for the first session of the game. I believe that this addition would bring significant benefits to both the Brazilian community and the company.

Considerations:

Expanding Player Base: Translating to Brazilian Portuguese would open up the game to a significantly larger audience in Brazil, expanding the player base and increasing sales.

Engaged Community: The Brazilian gaming community is passionate and engaged. Offering Portuguese subtitles would demonstrate respect and commitment to this community, which would result in loyalty and support.

High-Quality Translation: AI tools like Genimi and ChatGPT can provide high-quality translations at an affordable cost. Additionally, the Brazilian translation community can collaborate with the company to ensure the quality and accuracy of the translation.

Return on Investment: I believe that the investment in Brazilian Portuguese translation will have a positive return, both in sales and player loyalty.

Suggestions:

Fairly Priced DLC: The translation could be offered as a fairly priced DLC, accessible to all players who want to enjoy the game in Portuguese.

Machine Translation: The use of machine translation tools, such as Genimi or ChatGPT, can speed up the process and reduce costs.

Community Collaboration: The Brazilian translation community can collaborate with the company to ensure the quality and accuracy of the translation.
Conclusion:

I am confident that Brazilian Portuguese translation of the game will be a success. I believe that this initiative will benefit both the Brazilian community and the company.

Thank you for your attention and I hope for a positive response.

Sincerely.

Hi there. Thanks for your post. This is something we are looking to implement when we can.

We don't want to use any auto-translation tools though, have all of our translations completed by experienced translators in each language :)

If you use it correctly, you will be able to do the same professional level translation at a much lower cost.

I don’t understand what the issue is with using a tool like ChatGPT or similar for translating a game.

Would they rather release a game without subtitles (which would greatly help sales) because hiring professionals is much more expensive and requires more work.

Cute how you think AI solves all the worlds problems. You were told the answer, live with it and stop with the tears about "I don't understand". No one needs to explain everything to you, be glad you got a answer at all. Quick complain about regional pricing next, there hasn't been a post about that yet. Explain how poor you are and how making the game cheap would sell a bajillion copies.

First, in my opinion, the current price of the game is actually quite low for its real value. Even if it were twice as much, it would still be a fair price to pay, at least in my region. I simply haven’t purchased it because it doesn’t have subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese.

Second, my complaint isn’t solely about this game but more about a general trend in the gaming industry. Many companies either spend excessively on certain aspects, which negatively impacts the game's profitability, or don’t spend at all, choosing to release games without subtitles—even when they know this leads to losing a significant portion of the market. This could easily be avoided by using AI tools.

Third, when I say using AI is a viable and very practical solution, it’s based on personal experience. I’ve personally worked on translating a game with over 50,000 words using Gemini’s API, and the results were better than what many games in this genre currently offer.

It’s true, AI doesn’t solve everything, but some things can definitely be solved with it!
In Brazilians we are eagerly awaiting a translation into PT-BR.
