Yeah that's my thread. I run this game on linux right now. Protondb.com is correct, you just need to inject XNA.. but use winetricks to do it, NOT protontricks it doesn't work with that.
I guess so? I personally don't think so.
It's one command on the CLI. Is that tedious?
It's a single download file which can be obtained here..
https://github.com/Winetricks/winetricks
You might need normal wine installed.. I forget..
After that it's a CLI command that will look something like.
WINEPREFIX=%pathToSteamLibrary%/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/258010/pfx winetricks xna40 dotnet40 gdiplus
Use Protondb.com It has better information than what i did..
Modern proton is just better.
I was referring to the app from discovery store via Steam Deck.
From ProtonDB;
If an average steamdeck owner were able to run the game without the hassle of winetricks, it would be a A+ game for $5
Tinker Steps:
Custom Proton: GE, winetricks
Start game with proton 9-5 first, then follow up with installing following DLLs with winetricks; dotnet40 & xna40. then run game again after patiently installing all the DLLs.
