Basic info + demo download

[Winter Wolves]

Hi, developer here, want to address some of people's questions.

1. Demo - removed it, nobody was playing anymore and was outdated

2. Soundtrack - if you buy from my site you get soundtrack and some wallpapers. I'm looking how to make a deluxe version but might take some time (need to talk with Valve). 3. DLC on day one! Blasphemy! Yes, I agree, but this is not a day one DLC, I released the game back in 2012. I only decided to release base game + DLC the same day on Steam so people could buy them both (since it adds many zones and extra characters to romance)

4. Type of game. It's a mix between a VN and a RPG, heavily focusing on romance. If you play in Hard difficulty, I think the battles should also be engaging enough!

5. Price. I understand when people think it's overpriced, but in this case is not an indie game like others. It has many 2d hand drawn sprites (and I think of good quality), full custom soundtrack, a plot of 250,000 words and LGTB friendly content. Is not something you commonly see in games. But anyway, if you think price is high, just wait the inevitable Steam sale, no? :)

Technical info:
It requires DX 9.0c or OpenGL drivers but if in the beginning you get a screen saying that you need to update DirectX you can just ignore it, since in 99% of cases the game will still run fine.

About the censored/uncensored debate:
Yes the Steam version, like the one on Android or iOS appstores, is the "censored" version. Note that the ONLY difference is the characters outfits, and that in the ending romance images the characters are more dressed (but still quite sexy!).

At this moment that was the only viable option for me (getting an ESRB rating is a pain for a lone indie like me), but you can still download the game demo from my site (will recognize you bought it on Steam and automatically unlock) and enjoy the uncensored content too if you want.

Nnnnope, that doesn't happen. I played through the whole game uncensored more than once, changed my settings at will and still got all the achievements and cards, so you don't have to worry about that .

In an industry dominated by the idea that you always need to pander to the same narrow demographic of teenage boys who feel too unconfortable with the idea of a female character kissing a guy, like what happened with Remember Me? Or where publishers pressure developers to remove female characters from the game's cover (like Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite and Ellie from The Last of Us) due to, again, being too afraid that the frat boys won't like the idea of playing something that doesn't have the same generic characters that they're so used to? I'd say that yes, it IS worth the extra money.

Now if only the game also had a bit more in the way of gameplay, that would be great too .

hey Winterwolves. Understand that you cant upload the orignal version on the appstore or google play. However could it be possible to upload the original files on your site itself? I'm pretty sure there would be demand from phone and tablet users. ;)

I could upload only the Android version, but the low price and the fact that the game is not very popular on those devices is not worth spending any time on it, sorry ^_^;

since its already on google play couldn't you just upload the uncensored version on the site?

its good that you have the disclaimer and all but maybe people arent buying the game on andriod simply Because it is the censored version?

You should better have done a separate uncensored DLC and spend the time and sweet to get the ESBR rating for it, then promote well the light hot feature of the DLC, but don't oversell this, and make it very very cheap like 1 buck with some 50% sales.

Let steam manage for you the sells censorship legals and enjoy the boost of sells from teens and certainly kids that will trick their parents. :-)

The advantage would have been to avoid have to explain the demo trick, but now I suppose it's too late for the cheap hot DLC trick. :-)

Wow, that's a pretty ♥♥♥♥ comment and attitude. You just made my decision for me of whether to buy this on steam or not.

No, it's a realistic one, from a one-people dev that is trying to make games with the finite amount of ressource he has, and make a living from it (which means he cannot take as much risks as a big company...one may say that he already did take many risks by just making this game in the first place). As for you not buying this game...your loss.

Thank you for info, i really like japanese VN's and some not japanese VN's, so i hope i enjoy this game. Price is good enough in my opinion, especially if game have multiple endings and interesting romance.

If all what censored is only character outfits, then its ok for me, but i think i anyway try uncensored version, because i mostly not like censure(censor?) :P

Uncensored version contains 2 images with topless heroines in love scenes. Seriously HBO tv series have more porn content than this VN.
