This post represents a very dark side of gaming we are living right now: toxic positivity. To justify companies’ operations even when they are cleary anti-consumer. To condemn other gamers when they express their debated dissent. The idea that gamers must accept mediocre products and digest them without complaining.

If somehow the opinions expressed by the overwhelming majority of gamers in this post are some how a problem for you, then I hear there's a forum for a dead game called Concord, that would be right up your alley, as it were.

If any of the words I used here were funny or new to you, then I am sorry. Sorry that your education and vocabulary is so stunted and lacking that the various words in this thread seem new to you. Best advice would be, go out and experience some life that might be offensive to you, assuming you can handle the revelation that there are a great many things you are mistaken about, in life.

There is no good "diversity". When the inherent goal is fixiating on race and sex for virtue signalling as a design point, it is going to damage the creative work. Just make fun characters as it fits the story and world and leave it at that. People want good games with compelling stories. No more of this nonsense.

Exactly. Go back 15 years, and I was perfectly fine to tolerate stuff I didn't really care for. Now they've taught me not to tolerate anything. It's the gateway to taking endless ground until anyone normal has been pushed off the cliff or has joined them. Many things I used to tolerate have bloomed into some of the most foul things I've ever seen. No more.

And not only that, they went in and actively rotted out things we enjoyed under the same agenda. So many legacy franchises burned to cinders with no regard. Characters ruined. Story's morals undone. Enjoyment traded for this nonsense.
I will not step a foot backwards, for each time ground is given another thing I once enjoyed is tarnished.

It's gotten to the point that I can't even enjoy a piece of media with well-written characters who just so happen to be gay or bi or trans or whatever.

If you keep hitting a dog, eventually it will cower whenever you raise your hand in its vicinity. LGBT acceptance is on a downward trajectory for the first time in decades and it's all because people are so sick of the activist bullsh-t that now they just switch off the moment they see race swaps, gender talk, pronouns in bio, female protagonist, and so on ... things that for the most part, should be benign, but they're not, because activism. Okay maybe not pronouns in bio, that sh-t is straight up obvious to anyone paying attention.

Diversity happens naturally when you don't force it. They have to force it because they're activists, and they are actively trying to engage in social engineering.
