Go ask Tim Sweeney for more money, not us users.
But I'd like to think Alex was once a noble guy.
Just got duped and fell into the mud

For two, people don't like being preached at when playing their games, watching their movies, or reading their books.
I don't see why this is difficult to understand.
here already elaborated - get up from snake bed and go back to your roots. I don't much care what the next project will be - 2D, 3D, make it 4D - as long as it is YOUR project, not the SourAdult inc. schizoid slop.
The whole blaming "woke" thing is such a poor argument. Both Dragon Age Inquisition and Baldur's Gate 3 are CRPGs that are pretty "woke" (whatever meaning that has). Trans/nonbinary characters, gay characters, pronoun selection, the whole nine yards. Difference was that DA:I had boring writers and BG3 had great writers, irrespective if both tried to add in progressive themes. There's dozens of factors that add to the quality of a game before you get to "wokeness" on the list
Woke is as woke does. It's a certain... spirit to how things are done.
Gay character in game is not woke. Trans character in game is not woke. Non-binary self-inserts moaning about their mommy issues absolutely is.
BG3 also gets away with its woke points because it's such a banger of a game and so many NPC interactions don't have anything to do with the characters preaching progressive talking points at you that you can more or less ignore it. Whereas Veilguard was seeping with lefty talking points throughout the entire thing. It also didn't help that none of the dialogue in that game felt natural at all.
Woke is a deliberative and divisive placement of minorities in the privileged positions at the expense of everyone else. Both in terms of a narrative and in terms of corporate HR doing hiring and promotions. It's clear mironity bias over merit and quality.
BG3 is the farthest thing away from it. It's quality first, respect first, art first and merit first.
No matter how much the woke mob tries to smear it as one of their own - nope. BG3 is not woke.
A bit of melancholy for the pathetic state of a developer who inspired me to make something in my darkest time.
