64-bit version for macOS (and probably Linux)

Hello. I got the game as a Christmas gift (it has been on my wishlist for a while), but unfortunately only afterwards found out that it's a 32-bit application (or at least contains 32-bit code in some way). That is unfortunately not compatible with the latest macOS version, Catalina.

Is there a chance for an update to address this? I think that might also help out someone under linux who mentioned problems with 32-bit code in another thread as well. If recompiling is too economically unreasonable for Heart Machine I can understand (small market for macOS and all), but then I'd probably have to refund the game.

What I've seen from it so far looks very nice, so I thought I'd ask on the off chance you can accommodate players like me.

P.S.: To the regular Windows players who feel the urge to lecture me on my choice of OS: Please let it go and let's keep this thread helpful for other mac players. I have my reasons for using a mac (mostly work, I am a dev myself) and am a pretty casual gamer, i.e. it's simply not worthwhile for me to get a gaming rig as well. I am aware that means I'm in the minority here and do not complain if a game studio choses not to invest in a mac version. And I realize the drop of support for 32-bit apps, while making kind of sense for Apple and more mac-focused software vendors, hits kind of hard. I don't blame Heart Machine for not keeping up with it or for advertising the game as "for mac" so far (it has run on the OS for quite a while, after all, still does on the previous versions in fact).

P.P.S.: Yikes, since I never actually used the Steam forums I missed the other thread asking for this. Oh well... Sorry about the redundancy!

Same here, bought it recently but can't play it. I didn't see that it wouldn't work for macOS 14 on the store page. It would be amazing to be able to run it on 64 bits macOS (Apple silicon)! Much appreciated :)
