How to move fast ?

Ive unlocked the same ability as this player (@ 13:04) and cant seem to use this skill anywhere near as fast. Theres like no cooldown on this guys dodge but when i play there most certainly is.

Is there something im missing ? or am i just stupid ?

Its normal, he is speedruner so he has almost perfect, and sometimes perfect timing on chain dash, thats all.
You can also do that, just spend some time in dash room, and find that timing.
I was also confused at first, but now i can do almost as good on space button.
People say its much easier on pad btw.

You just need to memorize the timing. Go train it in town, there's something like a "race track" for you to learn chain dashing.
