Other than that, try getting the blue green cape from behind the 8 module door in the western zone. It makes chaindashes slightly easier.
Good luck
Yeah my highscore was roughly 300 until I found/equipped the blue-green outfit. I also tried using a keyboard macro for my old keyboard because my K70 doesn't have that but the timings were way too slow to dash (I messed around with it for an hour and a half trying to get it to work with a macro).
Could you tell me what and how you did that or was it your keyboard software? I just had my last attempt - bound the dash to right control and got to 400 it's just silly that you have to keep a tempo all the way up to 800. I took off my headphones and was literally counting the amount of clicks so I am in dire need of help lol
Sadly I only have a 360 controller. It's way easier to get a rhythm going with the controller but so many times I have crashed in to the middle - KB+M has the advantage on that part since you can put the cursor in the middle and just go back and forth however it's a problem mainting that rhythm...
I really don't think I will be able to complete this (without breaking something).

Anywho, just install and run it. At the main window I believe it asks you to click a record macro or start button. Hit it and it will record everything you do until you click the stop button. When the recording is done you can edit out things like mouse movement, clicks, key presses... etc. So I just hit the space bar a few times and stopped the recording. Then deleted all the parts of the macro except one spacebar press down and spacebar release. Then edited the millisecond timing to 180 when pressed down and 90 when released. There was a small arrow by the record option that had some options. One is repeat the macro X times. Click on it and select a number. I clicked it and typed in 2000 just cause. Ran the macro and there's a play progress bar you can pause by click it or hit Ctrl+P. I paused it immediatly and went into the game. Put it in KB+M mode set the mouse on the recarge block and pressed Ctrl+P and voila. Went to make something to eat and that was it.
Sorry if that sounded jumbled an confusing I'm running off of memory from last night and I may have had a beer or two. Hope it helps, lol.
Trick is to use keyboard and mouse, take your hand off the mouse and turn down the sound.
thanks, this worked. all the half-azz macros people are posting here do not work.
this challenge is a particular pain in the azz, as the game is not necessarily optimized and randomly suffers from frame drops / low fps, making input not match up with display/sound, even on latest gen i7 and 970gtx.
