Drifter is a cat?

After my wife watched me play for a few minutes she asked me if he was a cat, i'm not sure but it makes sense. Does anybody know for sure?

i'd say he is more of a dog\wolf. Also if you look closely on the dash animation it looks like he go full dog form and dashes on all four )

Looks more like a blue human to me. If you look closely in the forest there are some frozen soldiers that share his race. They don't look very animal-like to me.

Yeah now that I think about it. There are a ton of guys that look like the drifter but they are all dead/in crystal
