Soccer Mini-game: Does it even give anything?

I played that soccer mini-game (which is mind-numbingly terrible) that unlocks once you beat north and west inside the hub city,and played it until I won. Nothing happened. Do I have to beat him 0/10? I'm aware about the slight diagonal dash serve that you can get off that lands in without him blocking it, but the little fouling jerk is tenatious and horrible to play against.

Not gonna bother wasting time trying to 0/10 him unless it gives something, was hoping if someone knew.

No, no it doesn't. I ended up winning 10-7 but it just resets the scoreboard.

I haven't gotten anything and I've won multiple times. Gonna try for that 0-10; there's a specific angle you can open with that always gives a goal. Just gotta get consistent with it...

Yeah, i got 5 of my goals with it when I won. I honestly just hate how he stunlocks you with his dash, it's the most annoying thing ever.

Lmao, my favorite thing to do is drop a goal when he's running back to his, err, net? Just satisfying. Still, the kid needs to learn some proper sportsmanship. Tripping EVERYWHERE.

The area was added in as a secret, there is no prize from winning it, just the novelty of it i guess.

i guess this was added recently, but you get an upgrade bonus behind the enemy goal which opens up once you beat him

I received a trophy with a soccerball on it after I beat the little fellar. You can see the trophy on my profile. It is called Star Athlete.

I got one of those yellow upgrade thingies for beating him, a gate opens up above the pitch near the woman at the start. You also get an achievement
