Kickstarter Exclusive Content? Are you kidding?
Giving Kickstarter backers a skin puts a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Why are the devs valuing some gamers above others? Just because a person backed a Kickstarter, does NOT mean they deserve extra cosmetic items. It is not my fault i did not know the game existed, why punish me? Why punish me for buying the game when it releases, instead of blinding throwing money at a dev? I deserve to have 100 percent of the game that i paid for, not 99.9 percent. Thoughts?

Real life is a lot harder. It's gotta be rough if this stuff irks you.

i agree to the problem the OP mentions. It creates a two class type of gamers.

Don't you think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill? This reeks of hyperbole.

... because otherwise it enforces a big social inequality amongst gamers.

Really?

Just as a reminder, the context for this discourse is that some people get a different coloration to their character's aesthetic because they took a risky chance of giving their money to an unproven developer who could have easily taken the money and ran. I say the backers deserve a bit of reward for their loyalty and faith.
I wish it was, sadly experience shows that there are loads of people on forums pretty much feeling better and with more rights when they backed a kickstarter game. This ranges from many different possible types. For this game its no big deal, i agree, thats why i wrote the "Note" at the end saying i dont agree on it for HLD but for many other games being kickstarted.
I had situations where people reported issues and bugs but werent backers, literally ripped to pieces by backers that claimed these issues dont exist. They tried to establish that because they are backers and so had the game 1 month earlier their opinion is more valid than the opinion of others, thus taking away the right for other people who also spent money on a game.
Thats even just one single not so bad situation, it just has a range of so many possible situations i have seen and experienced that i clearly see it creating a two classed gaming community. Thats nothing that weird or taken from nowhere. Im not saying omg the world for those people is now a bad place. But i say its going into a direction where bad people use something to back up their opinions and to justify bad actions, literally even speak for developers or act in a way as if they are part of the development team, because they feel like that through backing a high tier and thus getting in touch with them.
And with only looking at some news in the gaming industry, you can see people even send deaththreats in the name of youtubers because one youtuber doesnt like another so they act like the worst living entities on this planet. For whatever reason. I dont get it, i think its weird and childish, yet it exists. Because people on the internet are *place bad word here*.
If you read my post completely, you just see that you only repeated what i already said anyway.
What a whiny baby.

TC says he's being punished for not backing the kickstarter. I see it as people who backed the kickstarter got rewarded for their help funding game to be made. they took the risk paying for a "promise", therefore, they are rewarded by the devs for their appreciation of trusting them.

I didn't know about this kickstarter, so i'm just paying for the released game.

Life is unfair, too bad.

By claiming "life is unfair" you're literally endorsing everything they can throw at you, as if your only choice is to passively accept it.

No. Never.

The only solution to "I didn't know about this KS" is to travel back in time, and that's currently impossible so yeah, life is unfair, there are things one simply cannot solve.

As much as I don't agree with OP, this is pretty r3tarded logic.

Give me access to your time travelling machine please.

Wait...so you're mad they gave a skin to kickstarter backers? Ok. Why didn't you back it then?

How exactly are you being punished here?

Hi - I bought this game 5 months in the future and I didn't get it for it's release on sale price. Why punish me for buying later?

Entitled much?

The skin will be available at a later date for non backers.
I hope they dont!!! Players who put money up front for a game do deserve a reward for supporting and helping a game get launched..What the devs should add is a box of tissues boat that this player can use to sail down his rivers of tears:steamsad:

SOme people spent $15 to back, others spent a lot more. I think it's fair that the people that backed more get something special in return. If you honestly care that much I bet you can just mod the skins in. They're in the game, you just need to figure out how to access them :P

If it wasn't for the kickstarter backing, the game wouldn't even exist. Shut your face. I don't even have KS backing, but I understand and appreciate the reason why they have something we don't. Browse Kickstarter more often and quit acting like it's someone elses fault that you weren't there making ♥♥♥♥ happen with this game. You missed out. You got what you paid for. Those people paid for a different product.
You aren't owed anything. No sense in thinking you're missing out on something that's purely cosmetic. Pay more attention to gaming news and kickstarter in the future if you really want extra in-game content that doesn't affect gameplay whatsoever.

It's a skin.

A SKIN.
Ousel 31. März 2016 um 21:41
So someone getting a skin for funding a game before playing it or recieving it 2 years before release isnt ok, but pre-ordering a already funded game and getting extra ♥♥♥♥ isnt, gtfo
