Cursor doesn't aim where bullets will fire?
When aiming manually with LT, the line of sight from the gun to the cursor doesn't match the path the bullet will take when fired, making it so I need to remember just how "off" the aiming sight is in order to actually hit what I want. Has anyone else experienced this? It's off by a significant amount, too, which makes things very difficult. If it was intentionally made to not represent the bullet's path 100% as a means to make it "more of a suggestion to where the bullet will go" with the intention for the player to interpolate the aim themselves, let me just say that there's a difference between making the targeting ambiguous and making it downright incorrect. If you want some interpolation, make the reticule a spread and make the bullets go through the unmarked center of that spread. Still, I think fixing the current targeting method will be just fine in terms of game balancing. Preferable, even.

It would be best if you could provide some images or a short video demonstrating your issue.

I can do that, just give me a bit.

Example: aim ON the pillar where something activates in one hit. Much of the time it does not hit the pillar. I've wasted lots of ammo on multiple instances so I also want to see a fix for this.

The pistol is intentionaly inaccurate in return for having the highest bullet count in the game. Any other single shot/fire gun in the game has perfect accuracy.

I accounted for that possibility, and I suggested a method of handling that which I feel would be a much better mechanic.

Even the precision guns with a laser sight don't perform exactly as their aiming laser suggests.
You could argue that nobody shoots perfectly where they're aiming, but I think the actual blame goes to the projectile hitbox and hit detection algoritms being different between the aiming system and the actual projectile.

It does often surprize me when trying to do some very precise trick shots to hit enemies or switches between pillars and walls, confirming that i should be hitting my target with the laser sight but mysteriously hit the wall.

Sorry guys, I tried to record it happening, but shadowplay seems to have an issue with this game in that it records the background steam window instead of the game window.

I did manage to get some screenshots of it happening, though.

As you can see, depending on the angle, the actual trajectory deviates variably from the predicted one, with the last picture being a close example of the most extreme case. This makes trying to hit things from across the screen with the pistol very difficult and unpredictable.

I should also mention that the pistol is the only gun with which I've noticed this happening, though I don't have every gun yet.

I read your response I'm just not sure why you're going on and on about a literal feature of the game working as intended. No other gun has this issue, everything else is accurate (or is a shotgun spray and therefore never going to be 100% accurate), the pistol is MEANT to be a spray and pray rapid fire gun, that's why it has the fastest recharge rate and fire rate, as well as the highest bullet count.

OP, there's nothing to fix. It's working as intended.
