How the hell do you get a PS4 controller to work
I have tried going into the settings and changing it to a ps4 controller with the option set to off yet the controller remaps itself and it is literally impossible to push the x or o buttons amoung others. does anyone know how to get the controller to work properly ?

I'm using it over bluetooth but I know that isn't the reason it isn't working because when I set the configuration to xbox it works perfectly

You don't. I was able to figure it out all you have to do is go to settings and set it to a ps4 controller and then put third party ps4 to on and it works fine after that

the easiest and most straightforward way is to usb connect your DS4 to your PC (less lag) and use the DS4Windows application. http://ds4windows.com/

i love it because you can also customize the color on the light bar.

I'm thinking of buying a PS4 controller but I thought you could only connect it via bluetooth. What cables are you using?

You can connect the ps4 controller to your pc using either a micro B usb cable that comes with your ps4 console or you can use bluetooth
