Both are really awesome games, but if a have to choose one, i would take HLD first.

Well, one on another thread told me to get Gungeon, and now someone told me to get HLD.
Is HLD boring at any point? That's the only thing I want to clarify. If it 'aint boring and exploring/combat is fun, I'll get in on the spot

Easy, choose HLD is you want a good story with a 10/10 combat system or pick Enter the gungeon if you want a dungeon crawler/bullet hell with a lot of replay value. But i prefer HLD hands down.

Same, although I like the amount of weapons in ETG, and it is a lot more comedic/silly. HLD is a great experience which is innovative and unique.

Matters really. HLD has an end to it while ETG does too, albiet it might take longer to get to or shorter to get to because of the rogue-like elements of the game. From my experience of playing HLD and watching my gf play ETG I would maybe say ETG purely for it's potential of a higher playtime. HLD if you dont explore AT ALL can be finished in five hours, if you explore some then probably 10, if you go for everything then probably 20. If for gameplay and just personal preference I would say HLD because the combat is methodical and has a Bloodborne feel in terms of your own speed, exploring the area is rewarding and has a Zelda feel when you find a secret, and the dash mechanic can be fun to learn and rewarding when you master how to control it.

Well, The Binding of Isaac is my favorite game, and I love Salt and Sanctuary and Dark Souls.
And, I'm looking for something incredibly fast paced, yet with great challenging combat.
So, with those preferences, which should I get?

Though Nuclear Throne got old kinda quickly

Only got around 15-20 hours with that game, when I got like 400 from Isaac

If you want to go with combat go with HLD.

Every minute of this is pure juice, buy HLD.

HLD is a work of art and an amazing gameplay masterpiece.

Enter the Gungeon is a quirky roguelike much like the billion roguelikes out there.

I got HLD, loving it so far.
Thanks everyone!
Both. I mean, i like HLD more just because of the atmosphere, combat, art style and soundtrack. But i have been playing Enter the Gungeon almost on a daily basis because it is so much fun with the variety of things. One of the best roguelikes out there, easily on par with Nuclear Throne and Isaac.

Still, i think HLD is a game that every gamer who likes video games must play at least once. It is one of those games that will stick with you for years to come, and it is also frequently updated. Which means we might see more content in the future, if we are lucky.
