Okay let's be serious. What key? Did you buy it on Desura or on Steam
or somewhere else? Go here for Desura:

To add it on steam go to ''LIBRARY'' and down in the lower left corner there should be a
''+ ADD A GAME'' click it and then click on ''Activate a Product on Steam''
and follow the instructions.

You should get a pop-up before the game starts that has the key.
If not, than I have no idea.

Hey dudes, Me and my friends downloaded bloody trapland from steam and where all a bit confused about something, we have our keys but nowhere to put them, we have all tried activating the game by going through add new game and active product but it says the keys we have are invalid, how can this be? we all paid for it, also there is nowhere to enter a product key in the game itself, any ideas?

Wait so you have the game installed on Steam, but still wanna add it?
When you buy a game on Steam it should already be in your library, and (most of the time) ready.
There's no need to add it, since it's already there. Can't you play the game fine or something?

Maybe its not the cd key creating the problem then, but all of us have an error when we try to create a game that we can all join after a few seconds the server will kick us, and it wont let us join any other games people have made, we have tried using himachi and had the same issue, my friend read somewhere that inserting your product key enables online play, and it comes up every time we open the game, we tried adding it through the add game option but it says the keys are not valid which must mean there already activated for us right? either that or maybe we was given bad keys? but what are the chances of all 3 of us getting bad keys, do you know any fixes for multiplayer?

I know my cd key, i've written it down on multiple places and i've checked on steam i know full well what the key is, but it just says that the key i entered is invalid and i've tried with 0's and O's, and i've triple checked, everything i type down is correct, it just is not a valid cd key according to the game

Try copy/paste the cd-key into the game to avoid spelling errors: Copy key to clipboard(ctrl+c) then press ctrl+v when asked for the key.

If you get the 404 error:

Make sure firewalls/antivirus is not blocking the games internet connection.
Make sure that bloodytrapland.exe is allowed in the windows firewall and all 3e part antivirus/firewall programs you might have.

If you are behind a proxy you might also need to set that up in Internet Explorer, guide her:

I'm still confused, Nothing here is helping me. I have the game I bought it on steam. Launched it and now it is requiring a CD-Key to continue. Where are you supposed to find it. I already checked my email.

For anyone new who will see this in 2023+, if you go to Library<Bloody Trapland, you will see on the right of the screen an "options" icon/button, you press that, then go to "manage", press the "CD Keys" button and you will copy it from there. IF you bought it from steam.

To find your CD-Key:

Go to your Steam Library
Right Click: "Bloody Trapland"
Select: "Manage" (4th option / don't confuse with properties),
Click: CD-Keys
Copy the key
Once in game when promted for the key, press "ctrl+v" on your keyboard.


Adding this as of 2023 Steam made a change to the UI that made cd-keys more hidden.

I have never heard of desura. Something is wrong
