(Your assumption above is correct on green dice)
And I agree it seems to be more frequent on the scrolls (LORE) for some reason.
If you roll all you green dice to completion, that's 21 dice rolls. The probability of getting 1 certain type is 97.8%. Yet, it happens all the time that I fail on missons with odds this good.
All dice in this game have 6 sides.
Green dice have: I1, I2, I3, T, P, and L
the yellow die: I1, I2, I3; I4, P, and L
the red die: I2, I3, I4, P, L, Joker (You can choose the Terror symbol, even if it is not on the red die)
I played that game for 70h and can you tell: it is not broken. Even if you turn the odds in your favor, there is always a chance to fail. I really can't say, that I have rolled more Lore Symbols then other symbols. Of course the Terror symbol is special, cause it is only on the green dice. So you don't roll as many symbols of this kind in comparison to other symbols.
The probability Razter mentioned is right for the particular task he mentioned BUT this particular task doesn't exist in this game as a whole adventure. What i mean by that is: What Razter mentioned can be a part of a adventure. For example: You start an adventure in which you need to acomplish 3 tasks. You have to roll 1 peril on task 1, 1 lore on task 2 and 1 terror symbol on task 3. You start of with all eight dice. In the first throw you get the peril with red. In the second throw you get the lore symbol with yellow. Then you have the 6 green dice left and try to get the terror symbol AND you fail. So the chance of failing the adventure at this point is only 2,2% BUT the chance of losing it from the start is higher. The 2,2% losing chance is a part of the overhaul losing probability of the whole adventure at the start. You would have to add all possible losing otucomes of such an adventure which would be:
- You complete no task of the adventure
- You complete only the terror task
- You complete only the lore task
- You complete only the peril task
- You complete only the peril and terror task
- You complete only the peril and lore task (which is our example)
- You complete only the terror and lore task
Each of those losing scenarios is very unlikely for itself, but if you add them together it is not thaaaaaaaaaaaat impossible to lose.
So the overhaul losingprobaility was higher at the start of that adventure. It is still unlikely to lose (probably under 15%), but it happens surely more often then the 2,2%.
So try to picture the whole thing, not a part of it.
I guess, we remember more likely the "against all odds" results than the normal outcomes. I mean, I remember beating the second form of the pharao with 6 dies and without extras ... (I played bad but was very lucky in the end >DDD )
Long story short
I was lucky, unlucky but most of the time the adventures outcomes are what you would expect (that is at least my impression)
