Are you seriously meant to beat the Tower of Anxiety in one sitting?
I just spent a few hours taking a crack at the last level and I'm actually blown away by the fact that your checkpoint isn't saved if you save and quit the game. You have to restart all the way from the beginning if you decide to take a break? Am I missing something?

you have to admit it is indeed anxiety inducing

Some platformers on the Nintendo 64 had fairly lengthy levels with no option to save and turn the game off.
I think it's supposed to give you the same feeling of that time.

The whole point of the checkpoint system in Tower of Anxiety is that you can only mess up as many times as your health bar will allow. It's meant to punish making too many mistakes on the way to the top; having the option to save and quit mid-way through would kind of take away a huge part of the challenge that comes with it.

But that makes the climb up all the more satisfying, especially as you manage to get further and further up with each attempt, showing how far you've come since your previous attempts.

Also, I don't recall the game saving your checkpoints whenever you quit the game elsewhere either - you're always sent back outside the Nacho Emporium every time you load your game.

The Tower of Anxiety is totally beatable, but it's a lot of trial and error. Gradually, you'll discover the little tricks to getting around. Every so often, I run the Tower of Anxiety just for fun. I've even managed to beat it once without losing any health.

Keep at it, you'll get there!
Damn. Guess I just need to get better at the game.

It’s a SUPER tough climb with no real saves throughout, that’s for sure; but it’s all about learning each segment and getting better through trial and error. It’s not something you need to do if you aren’t willing to commit a considerable amount of time to it. How far have you made it? I might can offer some advice. Keep in mind: I haven’t finished the climb; but I’ve definitely made progress.

It is hard. I used to struggle on this one for few hours, until I've made it right. I can even beat that Tower even at 60 fps. The only part where I can struggle at some point, is at the part where you have to perfectly ram into a wheel on the wall to push the walls to the other side, after launching yourself with flappybird.
