Thank you to this game for respecting me.
I absolutely love this game, and I really appreciate how much it broke both my fingers and brain. The difficulty level is really perfect for someone like me who grew up with N64 3D platformers, and has become a connoisseur of indie 3D platformers in recent years. My friends have always made fun of me when I often try to solve puzzles or navigate a world in weird and unintuitive ways. However, my weird methodologies work in this game, lol. I love how the game forces me to make odd jumps in odd directions without there always being clear indication of what to do or how things are positioned. The game lets me fail and learn--sometimes over, and over again. The game respects me and my experience, and I respect it for that. I certainly wouldn't mind a challenge even more difficult than Anxiety Tower--I loved that week long experience, and could see it going even further.

A part of me wants to point out the areas where this game falls short. Sometimes it's janky, sometimes inputs don't seem to work quite right. Some of the end game secrets I don't think I would have every found without a guide. But, I think I think those things add to the charm of the game. The places where it's rough around the edges just adds to the rewarding feeling when you get through them. It really does feel like an N64 game that was made with love for the genre and time period.

Also the atmosphere and art direction is just absolutely perfect. It's so beautiful. It doesn't just capture the 90's aesthetic--it captures the nostalgic FEELING of the 90's 3D platformer. It's how my brain remembers those games, and it's wonderful. Again, I'm tempted to wish that the game was longer, and had more worlds to visit than what is there, but at the same time, I think it stayed its welcome very well. It delivered what it wanted to, and then it was done. Thank you so much for making this game. I love it so much!
