Everything else was fine. And once i got the hang of it (learned how to dodge, figured out where to put c4), it felt quite easy even on serious difficulty. Then, apply some rage serum and shoot him with regular weapons a bit before hopping into a mech, to save up some mech health.
I still haven't figured out how to dodge lasers reliably, other than escaping up.
Wish croteam would bring out more dlc missions for the game, but know they won't as that's not there style at all. But was a good game though, and the final few areas were great fun. 😁
Last boss was pretty good, but it can't be compared to Icon Of Sins in DOOM Eternal at any point, that was harder, more dynamic, and overall better. Even outro cinematic in DOOM was much better. The only justification is that, Croteam had a lot smaller budget for this game, so it's understandable that the final boss fight in DOOM was better than in SS4.
SS4's final boss completely ignores the core gameplay. The first phase with the grappling hook and C4 is the exact same thing as in SS3 with the jetpack and metal poles, where you just jump onto the boss, stick an item into it and jump somewhere else. It was terrible in 3 and it's terrible here too. The only difference was that in SS3 there were at least some threatening enemies on the ground that you had to deal with sometimes, while in SS4 you pretty much can't even die in the first phase due to the boss barely even targeting you.
The second phase with the mech is even worse. Just like all mech sections, it's literally just holding the fire button while being stripped of mobility. You can't seriously consider Icon of Sin to be worse than this.
TL;DR:
IoS is more dynamic and less empty and actually has challenge unlike the Ugh Zan fight.
Shooting at him?
I liked it.
