Any way to rebind weapon keys?
As much as I love reaching all the way across my keyboard to select the sniper rifle, we should really be able to rebind these keys to whatever we want. Most FPS engines have a way to rebind keys from the console, is there any such functionality in Serious Engine?

This is a serious usability issue in my opinion, and I'd much rather not be forced to use 3rd-party software (such as Autohotkey) to work around it. Assuming your PC users will be okay with swapping weapons through a radial menu is probably not the wisest bet.

I second that, it's seriously infuriating and the weapon wheel doesn't do it for me :I

There's weapons in all of the slots so rebinding isn't going to do you any good. The weapon wheel even slows down time for you so there's really no excuse to avoid it, and the alternatives of mousewheel and next weapon still exist. Have a bit of patience and you'll adjust.

I disagree. With ALL those weapons and a difficulty level which is not Easy or Normal, switching between weapons with the mouse wheel and/or with the numbers and/or with the weapon wheel is a waste of time and it's very uncomfortable.

All serious sam games had the option to bind specific weapons to specific keys. I don't see why it shouldn't be the same with Serious Sam 4.

Second this, also sometimes you might wanna pull the double barrel instead of the auto shotty, and having to cycle between them in the middle of thousands of enemies is really awkward, we need weapon rebind as much as an optimization fix ASAP.

Same here! Croteam, add weapons rebind feature ASAP! This is a FPS standard. All Sams has this feature so why SS4 doesn't have it? For example i am not on WASD. Not even close to it on keyboard. I can't uses numbers at all. Weapon wheel is slow. Its not for such fast game like Sam. WEAPONS REBIND SLOTS PLEASE!

This was surprising but one of our coders added this functionality now.
It will be available in the next patch, sometime next week most likely.

Will the patch also fix the weapon order? When I'm scrolling it should go pistol, regular shotty, then double shotty. The current order throws off all my reflexes from 25 years of FPSes.

Sounds like you're just stubborn and wont even try the new features. I only play on Serious and have no problem either hitting 8 with my jump thumb or simply pressing Q and using the time freezing weapon wheel to make a well considered and accurate choice, no significant active combat time lost. I don't normally use weapon wheels because they are usually slow, but Croteam thought ahead with this one. More options will eventually come but you're making a way bigger deal out of this than you should.

I dont use wasd and its imposiible to use number keys with my binds + wheel doesnt slow time in co op
It's a really big deal

Why wasn't it in on release? Serious Sam was born on PC. FPS games always had rebindable keys. To have to wait for a patch for this basic staple of FPS is not acceptable. I'm refunding the game. I haven't even played it yet but this is a deal breaker.

Wolfenstein Youngblood didn't even have an option to pause the game in single player until they patched it in. Why did they (Machine Games) have to patch in a pause feature is beyond me.
