License?
I am a game developer and this software looks pretty awesome. I can handle decimation, etc. on my own. With the exception of TF2 models, of course, what is the license on the premade "body parts", and the software itself? Is it commercial use?

Royalty Free, use for anything :)
*updating post to avoid future confusion:
We do ask that the content is embedded in whatever project you are working on. You should not directly resell or redistribute the assets. This is to protect both ourselves and in the future when we eventually open user imports (and user sharing/store/whatever form that may take), other contributing artists.
Also I'd like to reiterate that models marked TF2 come under Valve's licence.

Thanks, I also heard somewhere it costs $90 to rig and animate the character. Is this true?

You get two free autorigs and an additional one per week (they don't save up). If you need more than that we do charge (intended to be fair to hobbiests and give a good price for indie developers and power users). Animations can be bought a la carte, but we do have a nice selection of free animations as well.

Alright, thanks, I probably won't need more than one p/week anyway. One last question, are there any additional fees for the character packs? Like if I wanted the zombie parts would I need to pay an additional fee?

To add to that, once you download your rig, you can also grab Mixamo's AutoCAT, AutoBiped, and Maya Control Scripts for Maya and Max users. Those take your rig and put on animation controls so you can keyframe animate or adjust mocap or Mixamo's motion data on.

As for pricing we also have our All Acess pass, but this is really intended for schools and studios who need lots of models, rigs, animations, and extra features like our facial animation solution.

But are there extra fees to the body parts/fuse pieces?

The full version of Fuse comes with the zombie parts you may have seen in some of our screenshots, and there is no additional fee to use them. There are also more content variations, clothing, and additional substances. All of the content you create can be used royalty-free.

All the content we have created so far is included in the paid Fuse (the zombies in the screenshots, etc.) We do intend to release paid expansion packs (it does cost a lot to create the content, just see turbosquid to see how much nice models like this normally go for O.o), but we are also going to be adding content to the base Fuse. We also are working on ways to get user-created content in, so that will quickly expand available options.

You do realize that both Maya and Max is in the price range 3500 - 4000 Euro. I don't think there are any hobbyists that can afford that (unless you feel it's okay using piracy). Something more realistic would be Blender or any other free animation product.

There are free academic versions of Autodesk Maya and Max available for students. Maya LT is also available now for indie developers. Fuse characters are meant to span a broad range of users from the casual hobbyist to the professional that uses the models for Pre-vis or as a base mesh to start modifying in a preferred 3D package if they choose. We just wanted to be flexible :)

Thanks!

Absolutely a good point. We do also have workflows on our site for Blender. In fact, any software that can import obj and fbx files can make use of the other things Mixamo has to offer. I just wanted to point out to Joey that there are some more advanced freebies included as well for game developers.

I would not discount Maya for many people though. Autodesk is doing some great things for students these days. Students (after valid authorization) can recieve a free 3 year licence: http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/maya
