Mixamo, Royalty Free ?
Is Mixamo royalty free ? i am asking this because i am planing on making a horror game and do not want to pay anymore money (royalties) to the company i just bought access to use their animation from.

If anybody could help, that would be greatly appreciated.

Fuse models can be used within your games for free. Mixamo animation on your Fuse model or any model that you use it, can be used within your games also. The limitation is to re-sell the Fuse model. But if you apply animations on another model that you allow to commercially sell it, the animation can be included within those 3D model.

But please wait for DEVs reply, since I just trying to help just by my knowledge.

Yes, do as you wish in your game. The game itself can be distributed for free or fee.

Hi Hektik,
All of Mixamo products can be used royalty-free as long as they are embedded in your project. You may not directly share or sell any of the assets*, but may use them with no additional costs inside your game/film/machinima/3d print/etc. No credits are necessary, but would be welcomed, and we love hearing about projects that use our stuff, often writing blog posts and/or including them in our Made with Mixamo page.

*For clarity, for Garry's Mod and SFM download types from Fuse, we have an exception for sharing on those Steam Workshops (something nice for the gamers/hobbiests on Steam)

I would credit you and thank you for the advice.

PS: would the models be compatable with Unity ?

Yes, the models are compatible with Unity. If you upload the character to our site for rigging, then download as an .fbx, it's basically drag and drop. We have a free Unity shader pack for our characters too. Also, our Face Plus facial tracking software runs in Unity and can be used to drive the character's faces via webcam. That's part of the greater All Access service.

As i remember some parts are not Royalty Free. are they TF parts?
Azure Zero Feb 11, 2015 @ 7:00am
Yep, The TF2 parts are not royalty free.

That is correct. We don't own the IP for Valve characters, so they are not royalty free.

there should be an option like do not show "non royalty free item".
