First play through, any mod suggestions?
Mainly looking for ui, ai, graphics, and other non story changing mods. Also as I know not all lines in this game is voiced are there any ai voice mods?

For the first playthrough I think there are not that many options. Most mods increase the difficulty (like SCS) or try to rebalance the game for variety

You can maybe try Bubb's Spell Menu for greatly improves spell selection menu or Radar Overlay (to see enemy stats), but beyond that I'd stick to vanilla for the first playthrough

Not sure about mods, but as far as having to read dialogue goes, there's an option to scale UI (as it's quite small on high resolution monitors). There's also an option to adjust text size.
Both these options improved QoL for me greatly.

Honestly it would be a great idea if there was an AI voice mod to have more lines. We have the technology we can build it.

My first half a dozen playthroughs (back with the original disc set, before Skyrim came out) were unmodded, the game offers a lot of fun without mods. Today, I really only like mods to carry more ammo and potions. Tweak Pack I think. Most of the kit mods I loved don't work anymore. There was a great chaotic good paladin mod I loved, can't even remember the name.

If I ever get storage unpacked so I can load my disc version, I will solo a morituri again. I don't understand all those kit mods so overpowered they make a morituri look like an Irenicus dungeon goblin are playable, but not the morituri.

Portraits Portraits Everywhere works for BG1 and 2 and adds Portraits to voiced npc's, Alternative Companions Portraits changes portraits to companions in BG1 and 2 and it fits very well with PPE mod. BG1 Npc Project adds banter and much more dialogue to the companions because companions in BG1 are silent and very rarely say anything. As for BG2 then the game is good the way it is.

Use the EET framework! It offers dozens/hundrets of mods. BG 1 EE and BG 2 EE are both required. DL: https://github.com/EE-Mod-Setup/EE-Mod-Setup/archive/master.zip

UI: Le Freud's (spelling?, use the BG 2 style) - best UI out there.

Gameplay: SCS (Sword Coast Stratagems). This is for advanced players who want to oppose proper opponents. The AI doesn't cheat, is scalable and exceptionally potent, so the game becomes way more tactical (and difficult). Since OP wants to do his/her first playthrough, SCS is most probably overkill though, as well as...

Gameplay: Ascension. Improves iconic enemies and certain fights even further; can be 'bundled' with SCS.

EET has loads of NPCs, rule enhancements, sub classes, shops, small and huge quest packs etc. pp. of which you can pick to your liking. Getting into EET requires some learning, but it is not really complicated.

There's a mod that puts all of them together (bg1+sword coast+bg2) so its a flawless experience - in case you happen to have them all.
