Enhanced edition : Cheat codes ?

Im a searching for a way to enable the CLUA Consoles cheats codes on the enhanced Edition : Everywhere i look, the only possible way is to put the famous : "Debug Mode = 1 " under "Program Options" in the Baldur. ini files.

The problem is : The Baldur.ini file does not appear anywhere.

Am i the only one to have only but a few documents related to the game ?

Does anyone knows where to find this famous document ? Is there a way to enable the console command in another way ?

I am finding the .lua file rebuilds itself to the original text. Even if I delete file altogether. I have tried editing it in the original folder, copying it to the desktop, editing and copy back, and finally, deleting it. It keeps rebuilding to the original file.

What exactly are you inserting into the Baldur's config file?

@lopicma - try to delete both baldur.ini and baldur.lua files and then let the game create only one new file - baldur.lua. The changes should be remembered afterwards.

Sometimes you have to use the codes if there is a bug, or you effed up and lost some critical item. I lost the vigil stone and wouldn't have been able to finish watchers keep without the cheat. I agree though its more fun for me to play it straight. Step by step instructions for adding them to steam version:

1) Baldur.LUA is in the Baldur's gate 2 - enchanced edition folder which should be in your documents folder unless you changed it. Open it in wordpad.

2) add the following: " SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1') "

3) Open the prompt in game by pressing control + space bar

4) use cheats detailed here
