If you're using notepad, you may have missed the proper spacing. The thread in the link above has the line with with the correct spacing. Copy and paste from there. You might want to make sure that Read-only isn't checked, too.

Make sure there is a flashing pinkish red vertical line in the place you are putting the code into. You may need to click on that area (the black bar) again with your mouse. Without that vertical line it won't recognize what you put in.

It comes right after the ) in these pictures.

What are you typing in game? I'm pretty sure that you can't even open the console if you don't have the ini file set for it, so that much sounds like you have it right now. In the EE versions, you can abbreviate the console commands, but it sounds like you may be missing something there.

Nah it doesnt the console will not come up at all if u dont put it in, which is how i know i got half right through trial and error so im guessing my spaceing is wrong , as for typing in game CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() ive tried this way too C:EnableCheatKeys() , but the code will not enter , which is where my problem comes in ,took me a week of putting debug mode in to get the first part (bringing up the code console)

Hmm. I wasn't aware of that command heh. By default, though, all of the ctrl+xxx commands work, if you've set the ini file for it. At least in the EE versions. I haven't tested all of them, but I've used most of the ones listed at gamefaqs and more...without typing the command you've listed. Have you tried others?

As Jidokwon said, the CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys() command is not necessary in BGII:EE.
You should be able to use the cheat codes and keyboard shortcuts as soon as the Debug Mode is activated in the .ini.

Try C:ExploreArea() as a simple test to see if the console is working.
The fog of war should disappear for the area you are in.

Test the keyboard shortcuts by selecting a character and pressing Ctrl+J.
Your selected character should jump to wherever your mouse is.

yo SPheno 2 questions for or anyone else reading whats u get done writing the code what button do press to actually activate the cheat,u have the 22 edition correct did u edit the ini file in notebook or wordpad, at least in my case ,and if anyonne is using notepad or word pad could copy and past where u exactly put it in b4 changes it and what did u mean by keyboard shortcuts?
SphenZero May 21, 2015 @ 12:08pm
After you enter the console command in-game, you press enter and the command will run.

If you have already edited the .ini, and the in-game console appears when you press Ctrl+Space, then the console is active, and you just have to type the command you want to use and press Enter. If the text-input bar is not appearing when you press Ctrl+Space, then the console is not active.

The keyboard shortcuts are also activated when you edit the .ini to add Debug Mode. If you press the key combinations on your keyboard, they do different commands. For example, if you press Ctrl+J, your selected party member(s) will teleport to wherever your mouse cursor is.

I am referring to the Enhanced Edition, and I use WordPad to edit the .ini file, so that the formatting is represented properly.

In the EE of BG2 where is the Baldur.ini file located? I cannot find it.
