BG2 EE TOB : saves issues

Hello everyone,

aA soon as I save a game, it takes me back to the start of the game each time (chapter 8)

I tried to redo the story via SoA, made other saves later in the game but nothing helped, the game always loads at the very beginning of chapter 8 regardless of the location of the save.. .

Does anyone know or have had this problem before?

Is it with or without Steam Cloud?

Is it with or without Microsoft OneDrive?

Is it with or without anti-malware/anti-virus or security tools possibly causing interferences?

Have you used the Steam App games library right-click properties menu to verify the game's local installation files? Sometimes there is also damage in system files that are not under the umbrella of the Steam app. Like Visual C++ Redistributable packages you may need to uninstall/reinstall in Windows App settings.

as followng your last advice, i'll probably try to reinstall the entire game.
