Lost items hack??

Is there anyway of adding items back in to you inventory that you have lost using the console or third party hack?

Of course? Do you think they implemented the console[baldursgate.fandom.com] just to remove items?

Never used the console. I assumed it was for just programming troubleshooting.

I have accessed the console but how do I add specific items? I'm after the Vigil stone which i dropped somewhere.

I tried using that but had no luck. Not sure I pointed it to the right files as it wasn't showing anything at all

installation directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition\
save directory
C:\Users\(your name)\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition\

obviously changing your name for whatever your account name is.

Note that for EEkeeper to edit save files, you might have to run it as admin on Windows...depending on system setup.

My first attempt was a disaster. Perhaps I set it up wrong as after selecting my save it drew a blank, ie nothing at all came up.

Okay so I have managed to get it working but how do I add items I haven't got

open EE keeper. open a saved game.
click on inventory, click on an inventory slot you want to change.
item browser pops up, click on match item name type in name to search. click ok, double click on item. item is no in slot, save the save game. load the save game in game.

Okay, so have managed to load a save and can go through the item list and find the Vigil Stone but there doesn't seem to be an option to 'add to inventory' just export item, export list etc(??)

At the bottom of the item window it says, 'no character selected' How do I select a character?

You have to select an inventory slot...preferably an empty one... or a gear slot that the item fits in. Then you "change" the item and the item list appears. Then just select it and save the save game file.

Just play with it some. You'll figure it out. You don't need the export options or anything in depth.
