Getting EE keeper to work

Used to work like a charm couple of years ago, now it wont remember save game locations and game install locations so have to put it in every time and it quite often crashes while you modify stuff, you are supposed to put the EE keeper files & folder inside the BG2 folder right? and is it not supposed to automatically locate the game & saves like that?

No. I keep it in another seperate folder.

Maybe. I don't remember anymore. I think I had to set it up manually, which isn't hard. You only need to point it to two locations. And state what type of BG game it is.

Did you get the latest version or are you using an old copy? I remember around the time Icewind Dale EE released I had to update it due to similar issues. The latest version is here[sourceforge.net].

Crashes is apparently cause you can no longer add items to inventory anymore. :-/

Try adding them one by one and save.

It's been some years since I last messed with it, but I remember even then that not every item Keeper sees is valid for addition to the inventory. Keeper will add it but it won't appear once you load it. There were some duplicates in there, like Flail of Ages +4/+5 and the like, so it was just a game of trial & error doing save edits to see which ones stuck.
