Yeah, but sometimes I fight a battle without resting or get ambushed, so it's good to have a backup.
Remove paralysis only work on hold and stun.
donno if beamdog "#¤"#¤"#¤ it up, it was like 20 years ago I played this game over and over.
but im at act 7 now and Ive tried dispel magic about 100 times when my guys are confused, it does not do anything, but it is the only spell that should work so I have tried it over and over.....oh yea restoration does not work on the status "Confused" either
Google is a thing, and people are still looking for answers 5 years later.. Dude.
From what I have found the best method is protection/prevention, like chaotic commands, and dealing with the casters who cause it with attacks and spells of your own, like insects.
remove paralysis removes hold. I think in siege of dragonspear it was working on stun, my guys AI were CASTING it on stun at least. but BG2 doesn't say it works on stun.
I also tend to have like some really heavy objects in my backpack. like Ankleg shells. you can move those items onto your confused person, so they cannot move due to being encumbered. then just leave until they recover themselves.
If you want a CLASS for removing stuff, thats the inquisitor, its dispel removes pretty much everything.
Additionally, for the duration of the spell, the recipient will be immune to all of the above except stun, which can still be inflicted.
Dispel can actually remove confusion effects from most sources, but it will only work a certain percent chance of the time. The higher your caster level, the more likely it is to work. Read the spell's description. if you are a level 9 mage trying to remove a confusion effect cast by, say, a lich, you are probably going to fail. Try casting Dispel Magic with an Inquisitor Paladin, like Keldorn. They double their caster level when casting their Dispel, and even a relatively low level Inquisitor has a good chance of dispelling most effects.
