Mike's RPG Center
So does anybody know of or has used Mike's RPG Center[mikesrpgcenter.com]? From PC RPGs like Baldur's Gate to even Nintendo's Zelda, it's a great library for referencing items and their locations, different creatures, maps, manuals and even some cheats. What are your thoughts on using such a library? Would you find it too exploitive to know where everything is, or would you rather know the location of that +5 sword?

Unfortunately, the website is now somewhat outdated, especially now with the release of different expansions and other remastered games, so it doesn't cover as much as it probably once did. In that regard, would anyone be interested in a remaster/remade version of the website itself, or would it not be in the spirit of its original creator? I personally feel as though several additions could be made, as well as some updates on a few other sections such as items and maps.

In either case it's a great site for all means of use and I highly recommend it.

That's one of the most visited sites about BG for me. The layout of the site is simple and convenient to use. It's handily to see for example all melee weapons for BG1 on one page while deciding upon weapon proficiencies for you party.
For walkthrough tips though I usually go to gamebanshee.com, their maps are quite useful with all that links to quests and items. The second reason - descriptions for items
It would be nice if Mike's site, or its clone, would be more developed and up-to-date.

I use a combination of sorcerers place, mike's rpg center and one or two other sites. Mostly to confirm how to find and especially upgrade certain weapons.

I use PlayItHardcore regularly for reference material & whenever I need to double-check on something:
https://pihwiki.bgforge.net/Baldur%27s_Gate:_Tales_of_the_Sword_Coast

Not exactly a walkthrough, but contains loads of information about classes and combat tactics.

I used to use gamebanshee back wht BG2 first came out. Extensively. I think updated this Mike's RPg guide is a great idea. I've never been there before. Will go there soon though.

No. Unless you plan on playing the game only once you will inevitably be playing with that information.
