Removing the XP cap without installing a big tweak package

Hello,

can someone tell me if it is possible to remove the BG2EE XP cap without installing a big mod like from the gibberling-site?
I did not find a way to just get this single change without all the other stuff that I am not interested in altering. :(

And my solo run is very, very close to the cap while being in chapter 2 so I'd really appreciate any help.

You need a mod to remove the xp cap. It's not a simple task as removing a switch. The game just doesn't have levels over the cap, so you need to actually add more levels to the tables and then add stuff that your char would gain per level for every class.

Since it's changing the XP tables, it might conflict with other stuff, so you need to install mod managers etc. which is why it's better to have it in big tweaks so that it doesn't generate conflicts.
Just get a big tweak with the cap remover and only install the cap remover by saying no to all other mods.

When I installed the gibberling tweak there never was a question what I want to install though. It just installed everything, forcing me to un-install BG2 entirely and re-install it fresh.
Maybe I try again in a few days.

And it happened exactly like last time. I get no prompt to choose which parts of it I want to install. Now I have the complete package which I definitely don't want. I can't find any settings menu or something similar to choose which changes should be active.
Can anyone help me out here? Otherwise I'll probably move on to another game.

Sorcerers.net has what you need. There are simlpe XP cap removers there, small files. This makes the multiclass classes much stronger.

I once soloed as a Fighter Mage Thief with this remover and reached 9 mill in each class (yeah 27 million xp total)

There are also small mods that expand the spell casters tables. Search & enjoy.
