That's a guide. Is it relevant in 2.6?

I stayed on 2.5 patch since I have it modded and people say updating breaks the game.

Is it possible to reinstall ALL the mods with 2.6?

Especially BGT (Baldur's Gate Trilogy megamod).

If you want to be absolutly safe then stay on 2.5 for a while. It will take awhile to test out which mods got broken with the 2.6 update. After that modders need to find time to update their mods.

It should be. Do you still have your WeiDU.log file in your BG2EE folder? It acts like a bluprint on when and what the Infinity Project tool shall install your mods. Infinity Project is the newest mod installer tool made by Alien. It can read log files, so you can feed it your weirdu.log file.

Read the "How to use" section carefully.

Do you mean EET? Or do you really mean BGT? Does BGT even work on the EE games? I thought you needed BG1 and BG2 to properly install it. So it makes no sense to do it with the EE versions since both have the same updated engine, except for continuity?

If you have questions about this project then you are better of asking the modders:

Or you hop over to EET if you own every BGEE game

Yes? The way to mod BG still applies to 2.6. Doesn't mean that you should install the AI mods. Mod at your own discretion. I don't have a list of which mod became outdated with 2.6 and which mod is broken. It's probably not a good idea to install any fixpacks for a while.

This is the most up to date BG2EE mod list:
https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/34882/list-of-bg2ee-compatible-mods

https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/comment/1160955/#Comment_1160955

And again: BG2EE 2.6 is still fresh. If you want a mod and nobody has tested it with 2.6 then you either leave it alone or you be the one who picks up the torch and do the testing.

Ah, that makes more sense. EET shouldn't be a problem, but make sure to install the hotfix for 2.6
https://www.gibberlings3.net/forums/topic/32658-hotfix-for-beamdog-v26/

The overall majority of NPC mods should still be fully functional even with the new update. NPCs mods that add new areas should also not be any problem. It's the NPC mods that add or refer to certain already existing areas and modify events that MAY, just may, cause problems. Personally speaking, I'd risk it. I installed "Alternatives" for BG2EE. It's relatively new and it adds to the game instead of completly modifying the events. It's not a NPC mod, but it works well with the Adjantis mod for BG2EE.

Quest mods that add to already existing stuff or add new areas should also be save to install.

Mods I'm not comfortable to install with 2.6 are fixpacks, enemy AI packs, certain megamods that change ingame events such as Ascention or general rule change mods. Even with the Tweakpacks I'm very careful. I only installed a couple of options and I still don't know if they are obsolete or break anything:

"~CDTWEAKS\SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #130 // Force All Dialogue to Pause Game: v9
~CDTWEAKS\SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1020 // Alter HP Triggers for NPC Wounded Dialogues: v9
~CDTWEAKS\SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #1230 // Allow Cespenar to Use Cromwell Recipes: v9
~CDTWEAKS\SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3125 // Neutral Characters Make Happy Comments at Mid-Range Reputation: v9
~CDTWEAKS\SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3150 // Remove animation from the Cloak of Mirroring (leave it for other spells and effects that use the same graphic): v9
~CDTWEAKS\SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #4050 // Change Jaheira to Neutral Good: v9"

If you want to try out 2.6 with mods then refer to this post that list all the changes done to the IE games:

Awesome, thanks again! Damn, I tried and couldn't find all this info, maybe I'm getting old :D

Last advice for anyone reading this forum thread:

Generally speaking, if you want to go the 2.6 route now, check out the forums that hosts the mods you want to install. Some people already tried them out with 2.6 and are now in the process to give back some feedback. Doing that helps you pick out the mods you want to take over with to 2.6

These forums are:

Gibberlings3
Beamdog Forum
Spellhold Studios
Weaselmods
TeamBG
Pocketplane Group
Kerzenburg forum - It's in German(and English I think), but Jastey is also very active on Gibberlings3 and the Beamdog Forum. Jastey is a modder, who has been active in the BG modding community for a long time. She maintains mods from other modders and her own mods.
