Anyway to speed up the walking speed?
Everyone is soooo slow.
Without casting haste. :)

Thanks!

There is also a mod in the Tweaks Anthology pack that allows you to significantly increase the walking speed of your party outside of combat.

It basically gives everyone a haste-like status outside of combat and takes it away in combat. Doesn't interfere with the haste spell either so that's all good.

Edit:
I'll just post the link to the mod to make this post more helpful.

The Speedup mod is part of the "Convenience Tweaks and/or Cheats" section of the mod. You can select each tweak individually when installing. It might be a good idea to see if there are other tweaks that could make the gameplay more enjoyable to you.

Fair warning though. The speedup makes summons kind of annoying to use since they don't get the speedup and will be lagging behind the party.

you need to find/buy boots of haste for all your party groups

There's no computer setting? I seem to remember being able to increase the speed of everyone, including monsters, in the old game. Changing the framerate maybe?

If you really want, you can change baldur.lua on baldur's gate 2 folder in my documents. There is a line SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Maximum Frame Rate','30')

If you change the 30 to whatever value higher than 30, it'll make the game faster. But beware, it will make everything faster, including cutscenes and enemies.

I used to roll with 60 fps, but after i started playing on insane, i noticed that it wasn't a very good idea...

Thank you!

And in case you're doing multiplayer, all of the players need to have the same frame rate.
