How to use Paladin's lay hands ability???

Seems like a silly question but I can't find in the UI where my Paladin can use lay hands. Not in his special abilities area and would expect it to be next to the Turn Undead button? Can somebody please explain how to use this ability?

Keep in mind that not all Paladin kits can use Lay On Hands. It's accessed through the special abilities button when it's there, targeted like a spell.

hmm. My Paladin has a lay on hands value, but I don't see the ability, yes in the star shaped button area --> special abilities. Makes no sense, why is my kit(?) missing it?

My character is just a straight Paladin. Haven't play D&D in a while, but everything tells me he should have the lay hands ability.

Also troubling is my Mage/Cleric can't get to her special abilities (see has some) as that button is grayed out. Frustrating.

So, have you skipped BG1/BGEE? Have the special abilities worked for you before?

First a Paladin, now a Mage/Cleric. That is two different pairs of shoes, since spell casters need to memorize spells before they can cast them.

Your character might use his lay on Hands ability if his AI is turned on and you are wounded. right after you rest.

try resting a few times until you are fully healed or turning the AI off.
