Perhaps the fact that you unzipped it into your game folder is causing it to fail? I have mine installed to some random folder and it works.
Be sure that when you chose the setup, you point the User Save directory to where the game stores your files now, which is inside the My Documents folder.
This is what I did- WIN 10 by the way. I only used it to edit Minsc's weapon proficiencies to what they where at the end of BG1
Extract all to a folder, than load it up and make sure to point it to your game directory being Steam or GOG, and where your saves are (usually in your documents/games folder)
I had to play around with it for a few minutes but once everything is set right it works fine.
Select your profile and select the installation directory, which by default is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition".
Third is your Game Language, which I'm assuming is English, so click that or whatever language you prefer.
And last is your save directory, which by default is in your Documents folder, then Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition (C:\Users\Username\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition).
Click Okay and you should be ready to use EEKeeper.
I assume it was a bug, probably due to the expansions or some update with the game.
worked fine after it could find the saves to edit.
I created another folder to extract to and went through the process again but no luck.
I cannot select the language because there is nothing to select in that box. It looks like it has a drop-down menu, but there is nothing in it.
But he already said that the drop down box for language is empty and there is no drop down list. So there is nothing to click on. I have the same problem.
I typed English in the box and it accepted it, which is nuts. It was already in English
I also did everything else correctly and it displays no saved game files.
C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition
C:\Users\Username\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\save
My antivirus also said that the web site was infested with dangerous URLs, which is odd.
Custom Save Files? I thought, what does that even mean?
So I clicked Settings >> Installation Directory and the splash panel had a check box that said:
Use Custom Save Location
And it worked!
What a bizarre way to set things up, calling the default save location a custom location. But I suppose it differs with different versions of Windows, from 95 to Win 10.
Cheers!
